Why not just sell the engine? That's $10 back into the pocket. Can't you work the street corner or something? Why give away your hard work? I got and idea, hide it! I'll hide it for you! Or, hide it from yourself till you change your mind.

I really do appreciate the support. I see names I've haven't seen in a long time here. But I really dont have much of a choice at this point. I did put up a good fight for the past 5 years. But, I have to throw in the towel. I could still finish it for someone else, and that would be enough satisfaction. But even if I don't get to finish it, it has to be sold. If someone buys it, they are certainly getting a great deal. Most others cars for sale are double this price. And half the car. I do realize it's also a very hard core track specific car. So... the right buyer is out there, they just don't realize it yet.

Sorry to read this Bruce. Knowing a bit of what you've been through over the last few years I am sure things haven't been easy and you've hung onto this dream for a while now. I hope some miracle befalls you and you can carry on to finish this great project. Otherwise someone is going to get an absolute killer bargain!

You have done a lot of hard quality work on that beast and it shows. I know how you feel. It takes a tremendous amount of time, energy, thought and gobs of money to do a high quality race build. Sorry you did not have the opportunity to drive it finished.

wow. i haven't visited this forum for over about a year. ...and i show up to see this sick car for sale.
it's not nice to speak about this car in any particular way. because it's uniquely yours. thoughtfully planned, meticulously cut and painfully built. that you've come this far.....
as someone who's logged 35k miles with the v8, i can speak from some level of familiarity with what you have here... i don't drive on the track, so i envision this one giving years of pleasure[to someone worthy; (you)] as a fair weather car cruising the California Coast effortlessly and tearing it up with all those F-Cars, enjoying just enough comforts for those crisp roads, maybe some insulation put in so smooth the rough edges, w/ no squeaks (like it has any), all the normal glass, sport seats, and still enjoying the insane weight reducction....
the latter day Cobra.
