Battery Tender......
Anyone have a preference? Any brands/models to stay away from?

I ordered a couple of CTEK's off Amazon earlier this week.
Thanks for the help and advice.

I've got the 2 bank Battery Tender. Love it. Have had it for four years with no issues. The 964 and 914 have never had batteries last this long. Worth the price.

Bringing this thread back up as I'm looking to buy a new one. Has anyone tried this specific unit: or does anyone have an updated recommendation?

CTEK MXS 5.0
this is the latest version of the 4.3 / 3300.
I have 5 of these versions... they work well.
I've never used the "test and charge" version.

Thanks! I was looking at that one too but didn't know if it was specific for modern cars with stop/start. And $20+ cheaper so drinks on me!

I buy the cheapest CTEK on Amazon. Model is 3300 or something like that. Also have a 4300 from a few years back. Have 4 of these things kicking around. No issues for our 25-30 year old cars.

Standing by my post from 18 months ago. I now have three of these units and use them on Audi as well. Any car with a live cigarette lighter without a key in the ignition. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Por...kAAOSwJ9Vdmk3T
The entire business end of the unit plugs in the wall and it comes with what seems like 30 feet of low voltage cable. This means I have no issue tending batteries on cars parked outdoors, as only the low voltage wire is exposed to the elements.
