Default Window Express Install

I purchased a Window Express for $59 made for older 911s and VWs. Nice unit, no cutting of wires, just plug into the window motor & then plug in the wires to the origin window plug. Hardest part is pulling all the trim off. 90 minutes all up. I now have auto down / up and stop.

Nice work mate, been looking to do this for mine. Did you source it in NZ?

Looks great- but I would suggest wrapping it in plastic. Rain comes right into the bottom of the door

I did this a while ago to my RHD 964 but struggled on the driver's door, to the point where I gave up and never finished the job. Did you have difficulty unplugging the OEM plug? I got the passenger side done no problem, but no amount of straining could get the driver's door disconnected.

I did struggle to get the OE plug off the window motor. I couldn’t figure it out. After about 10 goes of pulling & wiggling the plug, shinning a light up through the speaker hole, using a mirror to see why it wouldn’t come off, I was left puzzled. I had one more go and just came off!!! I cant tell you what I did! I am installing another one this weekend in the pax door, I will try work it out and let you know if I discover the secret.

OK, I did the passenger door today. I gave the wires themselves a gentle wiggle & pull (spade connectors often corrode themselves on). Then gave the main connector a pull and it came straight off the motor.

No, but the unit does the same job. Just need to deal with the wiring
