Default Problems connecting to the onboard diagnostics

Used a real Porsche PIWIS with correct connector and I am not able to communicate with the car. I checked the diagnostics fuse and it appeared fine. I pulled the connector out and all of the pins looked to be in place. Any thoughts from the brain trust? Anything dumb that I might be missing? A few photos after a quick bath.

Thanks in advance.

Which PIWIS version did you use? I have seen notes that PIWIS version 3 does not support the classic models.
I often see wrongly wired 19-pin OBD cable adapters. Most of these are sold on eBay or elsewhere, and the sellers have no idea of the internal connections. Where did you get the adapter?
Cheers,
Tore
