Default One owner cab - what's it worth?

I am a coupe/targa guy and have never paid attention to the cabs a whole lot. That said, the opportunity to purchase a really special example just came up and I'm trying to figure out the right ballpark for value. Here's the info:

- 1990 Carrera 2 Cabriolet
- 100k km / 60k miles
- Guards red on black - sport seats, orig Blaupunkt
- Original owner from new...car was the Canadian autoshow car and he bought it in 1990 off the show floor
- 100% original paint, no touch ups, no accidents, no track time, kept in a collection for its life
- Clutch/brakes/tires all good. Car really needs nothing...he keeps it pristine
- Always had oil changed twice a year, not city driven - only highway/backroad cruising
- New top, Borla exhaust, otherwise all original
- Service records are limited (oil changes always done at home, etc)
- No engine leaks (just typical minor sweating)

Thoughts?? I actually bought my 964 Coupe from the same gentleman and it was totally immaculate...I know how well he keeps his cars. I just have no idea what cabs (really) go for...hard to find a comparable with such a clean tidy ownership history. It is not publicly avail for sale (and never has been), but has been offered to me. Thanks for any input...

60k miles isn't particularly low for a cab. (mine just hit 50k) as they were mostly used for fair weather only. (and then there's RocketRob)
my guesstimate would be USD 35-40k. YMMV

edit; here is a slightly more desirable '92 MY same miles

I wasn't either, but there's no arguing that it's a fun and different 964 experience.
It's a huge plus that you know the owner, and obviously already had a good experience.
I'd second Laker's estimate.

I replaced my motorcycle with the cab when I became a dad. it's a bonus (to me anyway) that they cost less, and are generally with lower miles and in better overall condition. The track isn't important to me.

I'm partial to cabs and if you can get this one around Laker's estimates...grab it. Good examples with known histories are getting harder to find. My 1990 964 cab was totaled while sitting at a red light...insurance settlement was significantly higher than that value range. Good luck and let us know how you made out.

I think 35 to 40 is accurate. That is what I would expect to get for mine. Prolly closer to 40.
If the ppi verifies the condition, I would pay maybe more rather than buy one that would need 5 in work to get it the way I like it.

Plz keep us posted and good luck

A 1990 car would still have a Freudenberg flywheel if it has never been replaced before. Just FYI as mine failed.

Good to know. I know clutch/flywheel were replaced. I would assume (hope) the part was updated.

Go to a Porsche Dealer with your VIN and they can do a look-up and see what recalls and technical bulletins were done on your car.

Done deal, still not convinced I'm a cab guy but it seemed like too nice of an example to pass on. A real time machine...not enough of these original 964s left (partially fault of guys like me who love to mod).

I wasn't a cab guy, until I drove one around for a couple months. Great addition to your fleet.
