Carrera 2 Emblem & Ceramic Coatings
Did 964's come with black "carrera 2" emblems on the rear decklid or were other colors available? My car is getting repainted and the emblems were missing on my decklid. The car is amazon green and I would like to put silver "carrera 2" emblems on the car but not sure if they were available from the factory. The black just doesnt look that good against the Amazon Green. Any ideas?
Has anyone used ceramic paint coatings? The paint will be fresh and I would like it to last. Are they worth it? Any reccomendations?

I've only seen the emblems in black. I checked PET (810-00) and it only lists them in black. If you prefer another color, I'm sure your body shop could paint them for you.

993 emblems came in silver but are a slightly different style (more bubbly looking). Not sure if this would bother you. I considered it for my car but opted for black.

Shes in my buddies shop now all taken apart. Fixing the windsheild rust bubble, cracks in the door by the mirror and previous owners not so good repairs/paint job. I had a "shelf failure" in the garage and (4) jackstands, (2) jerry cans, and a bunch of other crap fell on the hood, fenders, bumper, and headlight trim.

I just ordered up the black emblems.
I looked these up on amazon and they are fairly inexpensive. How long do they last? How about a professionally applied coating?

Also a different size, a bit longer, so may cause a problem if you have a shadow where the old one was as the 993 ones wont cover it

Also noticeable if you use a 964 2 or 4 numeral. When I bought my car, it had a 993 Carrera badge next to the 964 2 numeral and it didn’t look right. I replaced it with a 964 Carrera badge soon after.

Ran into this image taken during a rally last year. Not your colors, but gives you an idea how a modified badge would look (in an abstract way):

Well the good news is the emblems aren’t too expensive. Paint a couple options!
sell the one you don’t like!
man sorry to hear about the shelf issue. That is painful to look at.
the upside is a shiny new paint job!!!

What is the approximate height of the top of the fender? I’m building new beefy shelves and want to put the lowest shelf a 6 inches above the fenders so I can pull the car in a little further.
they just laid the paint down yesterday.
