Door strap-pull conversion
Hey there guys!
Long time. I did search but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm looking for a door conversion kit like the ones in the photos attached. I am having all the leather in the car changed, so I don't need a new leather card- just all the other bits.
I would loooove the Singer style one but I'm guessing that kinda thing isn't available to the peasant public...
Thanks in advance!

The choices and style of this car is just delightful. I’m quite wowed by this. Anyone know which rims these are?
There’s quite a few options out there for door pulls, but I think appbiz sells those RS clones in the pic.

i have a spare RS door card kit, which was on the car when I bought it. i switched it out to a newer set that had speaker cutouts "lasered" out. I still have all the pull and pieces, so this may be a great candidate for you if you're interested. If so, shoot me a text.

Very easy and rewarding project. And you’ll shed some unnecessary weight off the doors.
Lots of options out there. FVD , AppBiz , Rennline , to mention a few.
You may want to consider buying Aluminum panels to cover. Or simply cut a few thin boards of birch or pine. Have fun with it.

The Genuine Porsche pull straps are quite nice (if you don't 100% require the leather pulls). About the handles, below is my Genuine/OE 964-spec handle (RED) next to an appbiz handle (black) and obviously warmfuzzies' original 993 RS unit above, which are indeed nice. The 964 spec handles are available in black new from Porsche but the price is beyond ridiculous. Also careful with any pre-'drilled' door cards in case the handle spacing and location isn't Porsche-spec provided you get Porsche handles.

First of all, I apologise for not acknowledging or replying to the replies in my own thread from you kind gentlemen. A belated thank you!
So I finally got the handles, and the front seats have been done.
. But now I have new problems:
- I never asked for the Porsche logo on the head of the seats. Seems a bit bizarre that he would put them on without asking me first. Is that even an option from factory cars?
- I realised that my inspiration (scroll up to my orginal post in this thread) with the burnt orange interior... had this lovely dark stitching on both the seats and doors. I was just about to ask him to use dark stitching on the doors when I realised the front seats were already done in light stitching. Either I do it again with dark stitching (is that even possible?) to match the doors... or I just do the doors with light stitching to match the already-done-seats. Does anybody have photos of tan seats and dark stitching so I can compare?
Would really appreciate the advice from people with more experience in the matter! Normally I know exactly what I want but I am a bit stuck now. I would rather get this right the first time since it has been 10 years waiting to get the interior refreshed and I don't want to mess it up!
Thanks,
Amro

Those seats are remarkable. Is that Waldemar’s work? Waldemar works near the Porsche factory, and is well conneceted. If those are his seats, the Porsche logo is authentic. Don’t sweat the stitching, those seats are perfect. Six way, and heated no less. Enjoy!

Good to hear that you like them! No this is done at Top Leather in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
I've had this car for years and had no idea that they were heated! Guess I will see if they still work...

The embossed Porsche crest was an option but not many people paid up for it. I like it but that is your call. Looks like a nice job.

Bump!
I am once again asking you fine gentlemen for your help. I've bought the following kit: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...onversion.html
What do I need to convert the factor door cards to support this kit? The guy at the leather shop is saying that he will have to make new mounting points for the pull handles. Would really appreciate any guidance here!
