All noted, I am tooling up for a run of a dozen. Parts from Porsche may need to come from Germany so I'm looking at ~December delivery.

I’d like a kit as well!! Thanks!

BTW, I’m local CT based.

Jordan this is Rus - we met at Robs. Can't recall if I was in the 964 or Alfa but Rob and I were likely doing something to a bicycle wheel. Will add you to my list.

Going through an install of this kit today.

Couple of notes. It's helpful to have Tessa tape and zip ties on hand.

Buy the tool that Rus originally spoke of. My pin tools worked, but they are designed for less-deep connectors. The right tool is easier.

When you pull the locking bar in the center of the back of the CE box to release the big main connectors (you'll know what I'm talking about when you get there), make sure you have it pulled and held all the way - approx a half inch. If you don't the inside of the connectors are still held in place.

You have to separate those big connectors or you can't put the wires in through the back. (Separating them is in the instructions. But they have to be fully apart to insert the wires)

Definitely drill a hole in bottom of the CE box and use the included grommet. Trying to get wires out the bottom is ridiculous.
The hole should be 1/2 inch for the grommet to fit properly.
And if you spray it with silicone after you install, the wires will slip through easily. Without the silicone the wires were grabbing and trying to pull the grommet out.

Outside that...the instructions are pretty clear. I'm shocked by how well thought through this all is. Slightly confusing if you've not done it. Crazy simple if you have done it. And very clean when done.

The Rennsteig tool was hard to get ahold of during the pandemic but now seems to be available. Happy you finally got yours in Rob (and mea culpa for not being there to help)

All the parts are in. I'll get to assembling this weekend and be in touch with folks next week.

Okay y'all the first batch is just about ready, will be PMing you all for your email / address to send a paypal invoice.

The Genuine Porsche parts came in slow, some still en route from Fatherland so I'll have 6 to ship shortly and more when Germany delivers.

Speaking of Germany - those who buy the kit are advised to buy
the "right" terminal release tool, the "right" terminal release tool,
but I think Rob G found that a generic worked as well.

Still have yet to install mine, but I'd be interested to know what the generic tool was, as I never ordered one.

I bought the harness from the first release, have yet to install it but just wanted to say thank you again for making this kit. Pretty awesome for you to take the time to offer this to members. What makes rennlist such an awesome forum.

Holidays definitely got the best of me folks but I'm ready to ship and contacted the first dozen on my list. @Trapperbay I did not hear back on the PM I sent you a week or so back. If I don't hear from you this time tomorrow I'll presume its no-thanks and contact the next down on my list.
