Default Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish.

Sometime in 2002, I joined Rennlist, I'd been a bit of a lurker before then whilst I was deciding what 911 to purchase.

July 2002, I bought home my first 911, a GR964, and over the years have made some great friends, met some great people, shared and made some great memories, been on and organised some run outs in the south of England, Met Rob L in London, and had a rather enjoyable evening in his company.

However, like all good stories, they come to an end, and so it is with this one.

I've now sold my 964, and am moving on to new pastures, though what they look like, I'm not really sure.

So, I bid you goodbye, and thank you for your input, time, friendships and knowledge.

Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks for all the sharings and memories. Do you mind sharing in 2002, what were the price ranges of the 964s? Is it $20-25k?

The back drop is so cool.

Safe travels.

Sorry i missed the replies, had the settings set to notify me; still.

in 2002 UK GBP I paid £20k, it was probably one of the cheapest out there for the mileage, which was 90k.

Prices bombed for a while afterwards, and about 10 years later, you could pick one up for less than £10k, then in came Singer, the Retro thing took hold, everyone wanted a classic, and the rest as they say is history.

Enjoy the cars folks, its what they were made for; they are and always have been very much underated.

K

@warmfuzzies thanks for sharing. your ownership story is amazing. enjoyed the car for nearly 20yrs, and probably gotten back/if not more, the money spent/TCO and the priceless enjoyment for 2decades.
Do you continue to have other P-Cars? What is next?

All the best Kev! i bought mine in 2002 also and enjoyed our chats and runs out together back in the good old days!
I've still got my 964 and can't get my head around selling it. It must have been a hard decision for you after all these years.
cheers!

That photo is what would stick in my mind for years afterwards when I questioned myself why I sold. For me the answer in return would not be flattering.
K, fair winds and clear sailing to you in your next adventure.

Thanks all.

its been a blast, and i've overwhelmingly positive moments with my ownership; however, i'm not getting any younger and the benefits of trying something else out are diminishing, reaction times and all that. So it was really with a heavy heart I decided to move on. But no regrets yet... ish, empty garage aside.
What next? Well I have some musings, and i'll make you all laugh when i've decided.. it won't be a P car though, thats one thing for sure.

what does this window control module do? Is it a bolt-on? If yes, I can pay for postage. Thanks!
