Hi, my 4 decal is missing from the rear of the car. I ordered one from Design 911 and it came but is matt, the Carrera on mine is gloss. So I ordered another without looking at the dimensions and it is the tiny 991 version

So did they ever do the large '4' in gloss black or am I going to have to replace the Carrera word too?

Is this the plastic one? Why not just clear coat the matte black one!

Hi Lou, yes I think, after another few hours of searching, this is what I'm planning to do. Need to reorder the '4' I sent back. Starting to realise working on this car will require some creative thinking and work arounds. Especially at some of the Porsche prices

I wonder if you have the correct Carrera on there? I mention this because some previous owner had put a 993 Carrera on my car, which is smaller. I replaced it with the correct 964 item.

Also mentioned because both the Carrera and 2 are matte, not gloss, on mine.

964 never came with gloss as mentioned. 993 came in 3 different colors but are a different size/style

Your Carrera badge has had 30 years of polishing and looks gloss, new theyre all matt. T cut and polish the 4 to match?, cheaper than buying a Carrera badge!
