Hi guys,
Just receive my Dansk Cup pipe (2 pieces) from RP, and I'm a bit concerned about this bracket that seems to be like 15-20º tilted.
It should be parallel to the pipe? Because the other half its completely parallel to the pipe.

Tilted bracket:

all the brackets i have seen show parallel alignment. i'm surprised by this since i would have thought it would at least get tacked into place in a jig. since the strap just has to wrap around, it's probably not a big deal, but i'm not one for inferior/inaccurate parts. i might ask for a replacement if you're uncomfortable with it - seeing it firsthand.

I'll request for the replacement, do not like to add another chance to tickling sounds back there..

Thanks!!

I have been running the stock cat and primary and secondary bypass for several years and love it.

here's hoping i like that combo as much as you do. i found a cup pipe and it's on it's way.

i need to attempt a video of the cat bypass/stock secondary/swan neck before breaking that combo down.

I’m curious about the sound you come up with. I’ve been thinking lately that mine is too loud, and too deep. I think I’d like to hear more engine note and a slightly higher pitch. More flat 6, less V8. Kinda like my GT3, which is stock except for mufflers.

Mine is a 200 cell cat, stock primary muffler, and j-pipe.

cup pipe has arrived, but i've simply had zero time to get to it. i need to get a video of the current set up and then move to the new set up. once done, i will post videos of both. having spent more time with the cat bypass/stock secondary/swan neck, i know it's definitely not the sound i'm looking for. it's not a crisp sound. it's a deeper, muffled sound that lacks any real character in my opinion. a bit hard to describe, so hopefully the video will convey it well enough.

You will be very happy with the cup pipe / Cat bypass and stock muffler.
I have this setup and it's 100% Porsche sound

An update here..
I could return the one that was bad manufactured to the supplier and purchase a Dansk in other webshop. Quality built is way better than the one that I bought first.

Installation was pretty easy, loose four bolts and remove the original and straight forward install the pipes.
Sounds completely different to the G-Cup (Better!), not loud but nicer tone until 3k rpm, then to my hearing, sounds like the original set. But what really impressed me is the fact that I the acceleration and response have improved as well!
My conclusion is that I wish to have it installed earlier! Awesome..

Now I'm into a cat bypass or 100cell cat.. better gains and sound with the bypass?

overdue update - i have finally switched from the cat bypass/stock primary/scart swan neck back to the stock cat, the recent cup pipe, and the swan neck and the results are just what i was looking for. it now has a very nice bark on start up and a more distinct, aggressive idle. blips of the throttle are wonderful and throaty. i have a video (closed garage) that i will upload, but i also want to do a more aggressive video done outside in the upcoming days.

I ended up with the same except I went with a FabSpeed Sport CAT bypass which I think is a 300 Cell CAT. I’m very happy with the set up. Awesome sound at idle, great torque and sounds great at speed as it’s not crazy loud but it’s definitely not for everyone. I’ve had a ton of compliments on the sound and should note that none of them are my neighbors…

i read back over your post earlier when making my update post today. my first thought was what the difference might be between your set up and what i have now from a volume/depth perspective. i was [happily] surprised by the depth of sound after this latest combo. i was concerned the stock cat might reduce the overall sound, but i'm quite content at the moment with the stock cat. i know the 200 cells on my 993 made quite a difference over the stock cats, but maybe that's based on 2 in the system and not just one like the 964.

here's the initial video i made after install. i will make an outdoor video soon to compare them both. if anything, it sounds crisper and louder in person, but this is a good representation overall.

Sounds really good, can't wait to hear a driving video in the cabin! Doesn't sound nearly as loud as I would have expected given your only "muffler" is the stock cat.
