Best and easiest mods you’ve done.

To be fair, one of the failures observed was to always-on, which would have drained the battery but didn't totally shut off the engine while the car was moving, like my standard DME failure did.

I don't have many but some of the best and easiest that I've done are as follows:
- While the verdict of longevity is still out the Solid State DME is must. I still carry two known good spares in my glove box b/c i'm paranoid.
- 993 ignition coil upgrade. @Goughary told me about this one as the older coke canister ones fail.
- Sleepers SSK was an easy mod to install and so far my favorite
- LED lights for the dash from superbrightleds is great. I have bad night vision so the cooler/brighter light helps on the rare occasion I drive at night.
- Momo Mod 07 steering wheel
- Ongoing mod but....Learning to be a better driver. Understanding car control and driving a slow car fast.

I'd love to put a new steering wheel on but I don't know what would kill be sooner: lack of airbag or my wife!

Spain.
I found a dutch webshop that has it for 169€ (Looks nice for me) and also emailed NRG for a list of official distributors in EU.

I bought mine from a local car tuning shop - the places that sell stuff to make Honda's look terrible. Find one of those locally if you can and they might have them. I did a quick search and there was an online place in Italy that seemed to have them but you should be able to get them in Spain I would have thought.

Best/easiest mod was removing heavy aftermarket 18" wheels and going back to stock 16" D90s. Totally transformed the driving experience and I kicked myself for not doing it sooner.

Three Wheelin'
Preach. D90s are light beautiful and replacement tires (I'm shopping right now) are below $600 for a set of the best money can buy (Conti...) I swap them with a set of manhole covers so I have winter and summer tires swappable without a visit to the tire shop.

Lighter wheels are always a very worthwhile upgrade. I've got some 17" Fuschsfelge waiting for the nicer weather and that should reduce weight quite significantly compared to my current Cup 1s.

A weight breakdown from my 1993 C2:
Design 90's are approximately
Front: 16" dia x 6" wide, weight is 18lbs
Rear: 16" x 8" wide, weight is 20 lbs
My "Italian" Cup 1 wheels are
Front: 17" dia X 7.5" wide, weight = 24.9 Pounds
Rear: 17" dia X 9" wide, weight = 27.9 Pounds
Front is a 13.8 pound savings with the D90 (Not including a smaller and likely lighter tire).
Rear is a 15.8 pound savings with the D90 (Not including a smaller and likely lighter tire).
Overall weight savings between 17" CUP 1 replica and OEM D90: 29.6 pounds, again....not including the saving in weight with a smaller diameter tire. Your overall savings is likely in the 35-40 pound range. That is weight you can feel in acceleration/braking.

Wow, I was going directly to change my D90's for CUP I's.. Is that significant loss of performance?
@spooky69 17" Black Fuchs were an option for myself, do you have any pics?

From memory the rear is 7.8kg (17 or 18 lbs I think). It certainly feels very light.

I've been contemplating picking a set of those up, too. That red 964 in their gallery is beautiful. I am surprised more 964's are not running them, and the weight is great! In comparison even an E88 10" wide rear wheel (18") is 20.94 pounds. The Fuch's 17x9 is 17.53 lbs and the 18x10 is 19.4 lbs. That's even lighter than the E88! I can't believe my CUP 1's are (with tire) 10 pounds heavier at each corner on average. /Sad face
