Default Best and easiest mods you’ve done.

Hi all,

What are some of the easiest/best/favorite mods you’ve done to your cars?

I’m think I’m going to start with a new Porsche Classic Radio but I would love to get some other ideas.

thanks!

Rennline adjustable gas pedal. You can actually heel-toe the car afterwards!

LED light bulbs for the instrument panel. Cheap ($25?). So much more legible at night. And once you got the hang of installing one bulb (had to twist the contacts in a certain, propeller style), not difficult to do.

Factory Cup 1's with the suspension set up was the best. Changes the entire appearance of the car. It wasn't a difficult mod but I changed the struts while the engine was out - making the rear much easier. A nice cheap mod if you're kind of OCD is straightening out the pouch in the frunk carpet. They are always twisted and sagging down. It bugged me so I fixed it with a piece of wire and 2 zip ties. More details about this if wanted are on page 13 of this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...garage-13.html

Fwiw, there is an oem, and long forgotten, emergency triangle that fits the exact dimensions of that pouch, and when it's in there, the pouch doesn't deform.

That triangle was supposed to be delivered w the car. I don't think many actually got it...

My car had Cup 1's but safari stock ride height when I bought it. Last year I got ROW springs and Bilstiens and voila, lovely and handling is much improved. The other little thing is adding PCCM. Apple Car Play is nice for occasional music, phone interface, and nav. While the screen is silly for nav the turn by turn shows up and vibrates my Apple watch so it is useful when needed. I can also answer/end calls on the watch or press siri and say call Amy. I like that it is a Porsche product and made for cars like ours.

Just installed the FVD cup motor mounts. I had no clue the ones in the car were as bad as they were. I could move the bolt with just the pressure of my thumb.

I like to hear that. Now that I've replaced the clutch, that's on my list of 2022 upgrades. Figured it wasn't worth it in the past. If I couldn't put down the power already made by the motor, there was little need to bump the HP even higher.

have to agree with this. Gives such pleasure as the 964 actuators are very eager and authoritative.
