Default Hagerty 964 values. What are they smoking?

Car magazines often quote Hagerty as the best value analytics site.

Their 911 valuations are absolutely bonkers. In reality it's difficult to find a low(ish) mileage coupe 964 or 993 for under 80K.

The best ones go for over 100K.

What are they smoking at Hagerty? Is this a joke?

33 thousand pounds = 40 thousand dollars (approximately). Where are these cars? I'll buy them all.

Did agreed value on 125k 964 through Rally / American Modern - no problem.

I’ve found their pricing estimates to be poorly out of touch with the actual market. They seem to linger years behind. I’ve notified them before. Oh well, at least their insurance is too high too.

Default Not Too Far OFF

The latest issue of Excellence Magazine has 1990 to 1994coupe 2WD and 4WD in good condition at 84K. I need to increase my agreed value.

Hagerty values it 60% of the actual market price.

And car magazines quote that site as the "highest authority".

Priceless. It's a joke site.

Good timing. I just did an eval on my 92 C4 and here is what Hagerty's said:

Of course those prices are in Canadian $$

So according to Hagerty experts C4's in fair condition are about 100% more valuable than C2's in fair condition?

Once again... what are they smoking? Crack?

Everybody knows that C2's are more sought after than C4's. It's not a huge difference but noticeable.

True in most cases, and yet they have no trouble on an agreed value that does reflect real market conditions. That's what really counts.

Hagerty has also gotten too expensive. It used to be a good value, now it's the same as regular insurance.

They recently came to me and suggested I raise my agreed value from 60-75k. For a cab tip. I'm happy with Hagerty.

I am also happy with Hagerty. Their Driver's Club benefits are far cheaper than CAA.

Added a 3rd collector car - and the price was out of control. Saved $800/year with American Modern.

I'm pretty sure they only use retail transaction data which is obviously extremely limited since most of these cars change hands private party which is pretty much impossible track with any sort of accuracy.

I recently upped my State Farm agreed value policy to $100k and they didn't bat an eye.

Why are 964 Widebodies not separately listed? Clearly, these cars sell at a premium?
