Rerouting the AC line
Hi
I am planning to reroute the AC line on a 964.
How can I find the adaptor fitting to the AC compressor to a different angle? Towards the front of the car.
Are the fitting to compressor a universal standard?
Thanks
I would like to change the fitting direction towards the front of the car and run the line between intake and engine wall.

Best to change the manifold circled here to a rear facing unit:
These guys have everything you need including producing new barrier hoses to go back from the manifold:
https://griffiths.com
Its not listed on the website BTW- you have to email or call.

I believe Sleepers Speedshop has or is in process of making a kit to re-route the lines behind the intake manifolds. I would call (don't email) the shop and see what the ETC is on it.

Did a search and just found this picture of a simple way to re-route the hoses without replacing lines. I'm going to talk to my mechanic tomorrow and verify.

I think this would make it a real pain to drop the engine and also impact of the aircon efficiency as the pipes would be going right over a hot engine - just my opinion.

They do have the plan to develop this kit?
They seems very reluctant to reply their email nor updating the website.
Specially for people not located in US, tried emailed few times before and never reply.

It is carbon fiber intake I sourced from Germany.
Those hoses shouldn't be there at all.....

Theoretically I think it can be done, and this is a cost effective and DIY able job as well.
But I prefer a cleaner set up to run behind like this.

I found this adaptor manifold plate for our AC compressor
This might give me the option to route the hose into the back of the engine.
But need to construct my own hose.
Does any know what time of male or female connector I need for both ends?
Thanks

I checked with Griffith about the routing kit, they quoted 1000 bucks....
That is almost 1/3 of the cost of electrical AC kit Classic Retrofit.
I am planning to go for the electrical AC in the future.
So I am search my other options try to build the hose myself with the help of local hydraulic shop.
But I need to figure out what area the fittings and side of hose I need to acquire for the shop to produce.
Any one know what fittings and hose I should order?
Couldn't find the specs from the internet at all.
Thanks
