Thats the best plan. They are the only ones that are fully adjustable and the do fit the car very well. I actually bought a set of sport seats and I really want to use them- but having tried I can not deny that they just don't fit my body well. For short trips of course its not a problem so if your not going for hours at a time they might be fine. Also if your not going to use a helmet on the track.

I ordered these custom rims which are 18" Mag from Augment in Canada. They were in stock as Dan made them for his 964 but they will go on mine instead We will see how these go. 7.1kg for front and 7.8kg for rear.

They are 18x8 +52 and 18x9 +45

The color "mystery" has been solved the color is not L35U but L35V.... Marine blue. Definitely sticking with it for the repaint as I like it.

For the exhaust I just ordered a Scart sport cat 100 cell and the Scart Riva one piece sport muffler. We will see how this goes. Going French on the piece (https://scart.com)

The engine and gearbox were picked up yesterday and are on their way to Belgium were they will be rebuilt by 911Impact (the place were I bought my GT3Cup and they rebuilt that engine). They are at Le Castellet track all the time so this is convenient and more importantly I trust them.

The detailed list of parts to be changed is getting longer Front bumper, rear bumper center (going with RS style), windshield, rear window glass, door handles and locks and a myriad of small parts.....

This is going to transfer to the body shop in a couple of weeks. That work should take about 4 weeks. So we are moving along.

I have been debating BBi vs Elephant on the uprights and will probably go with BBi after reading way too many threads on this topic

I have ordered the KW v3 coil overs too. They have to be built as they are slightly different for pre Nov 2010 cars. This should take a month or so.

For the interior I think I will stick with a stock rebuild. New carpet and seats reupholster with new cushions etc.... I may try to find turbo seats but they seem quite hard to come by. I feel that trying something else can lead to potential issues at 6'5". I know that the stock seat works fine, anything else is a question mark in this small car for me.

So things are moving along nicely now.

By the way I am interested in views on what parts should be just changed as a matter of fact while I am at it, for instance AC compressor evaporators or anything else ?

Yeah, I saw that. A bit too much in my book and I think the signals are red which won't work in France.

After trying just about every variant of muffler setups, last year I installed the Scart Riva (along with Fabspeed 300-cell cat). Scart quality is outstanding. What's surprising to me is how relatively quiet it is. I find it to be polite at cruise and around town. Your 100-cell cat will probably increase the sound a bit.

Yes I discussed with Martin Scart last week and this is basically the setup he was recommending. I wanted a sport 100 Cat anyway as this is a cheap way to get some HP. I also did not want something very loud in town or at highway cruising speed because this is going to be a street only car for me and a DD. I have never really heard the setup in real life but I think it should be fine for what I want.

Not screwing around.
This looks way more fun than years of snail-pace do-overs.

On to tire selection..... Going for PS4S. Rims are 18, 8" front and 9" back.

225/40 or 235/40 upfront ?

265/35 or 275/35 rear ?

None of the above ?
