Singer Factory Tour video

I applaud their new space and approach. But when I see things like this I Can only cry. . I could never cut up a perfectly good 964 for one of these and many great 964's have been sacrificed. My understanding is we will hit 1000 soon. at a rate of 4 a week. There were less than 2500 coupes in the US not long ago at this rate they will have decimated the entire supply. Leaving only the clunker for the enthusiast. Sadly they aren't as light as I would expect or as fast. I guess we will see with the turbo Study. I see a lot of filler which I would not be happy with especially on the steel. I love the truly bespoke when it is essentially a kit car. just pic your color or options. As they say every car is slightly different. If it was true build like Ruf I would be more impressed.
Sorry for the negativity but to me it is contrary to what these are all about. Although Thank you for sharing.
Just a small spattering of parts from some very nice 964's. just criminal in my book.

I personally think they are beautiful works of art. The interiors are amazing! When I purchased my 964 in 2008, they were the bastard stepchild of 911s, and were not that desirable. The Singer business model only increases the values of stock units remaining. In the end they are only cars, so he with the most money makes the rules. The dwindling quantities begs the question - I wonder when someone will reproduce body shells for the 964? Like the Ford approved re-popped Mustang bodies that Revology uses to produce their beautiful Mustangs.

I was at a body shop the other day. Very talented man and growing business. He has done a number of 964 backdates but makes even more returning them back to 964 body. He said he had just converted a backdate back to stock not long ago. LOL.
From a manufacturer's perspective I don't see anything they are doing as revolutionary. To each their own but if it is far less involved and difficult to build than an exacting restoration.

For all the money I love the engines and the interiors bit the factory 964 lines are sooo much better than the backdates. None of them really look right including the singers.
makes you wonder how many original cars really are left…
now how many original Turbos will die on the table…

being a diehard 964 fan, it is sad to see the 'carnage' left from the singer process. those pics above put it into perspective. that said, the cars they build are exceptional in my opinion.
everything serves a purpose and, in reality, the singers may well have had a hand in the popularity that the 964 now holds. hard to say. one thing is for sure, with that many cars used in their builds, the existing ones will likely benefit from a value perspective.
2027 for a new order!! damn. nice problem to have. an incredible business story with humble beginnings.

I don't think they are going to use 964/965 Turbos for the Singer Turbo, considering all the work they do in modifying the cars there is no need to spend the extra $100k to start with a turbo.
Orders booked until end of 2027; that's incredible. Regular version capped at 450 and orders for 250 Turbos already
At the end of the day I'm just not a fan of the back dated look. If I wanted a long hood I'd just get an older car vs a 964 and spend money modifying/fixing it up.
And for the same/similar money I would take a RUF SCR. Or for less money I'd take a RUF RCT Evo - that is just an absolute stunner.

But alas.....
I wonder if that direction is where Singer is going next: becoming an actual manufacturer vs what they are doing now. Or will they move to eating up 993's ?

Speaking of RUF: I watched this 50 minute documentary a few weeks ago. It's amazing and I learned a lot:
This is a must watch for any P nut (which I think you all are!)

Who cares, they're cars. I am a little tired of the backdate craze as I think it's been done, but if people wanna cut em up, so be it.

Well with a new 120k sqft facility in SoCal, passionate employees, order books stuffed beyond belief, no significant marketing / sales expenses, clientele that are above the economy, swooning automotive media attention, MAJOR partnership deals with little companies like PORSCHE and truly smart people at the helm, Singer is here to stay... Those that continue to flog dead horses are of course entitled to do so but it's futile.

And the DLS is in partnership with Williams.
so that makes me wonder if they’ll eventually become and actual manufacturer like RUF
