in...2002, I went on a road trip to Hamburg (2000 kms round trip) to purchase an alloy lid off a 1990 Cup car, to use on my then project. It fit on the back of my MBenz with 1 cm to spare. Found another one shortly after that ended on the project.
The first one has been hanging on the garage wall for those 22 years.
