The toe hook is essentially drilled through the tub in front and the metal plate is supposed to support it from the inside.

I made my own and I used a plate in front outside the tub and a larger plate for the inside frunk area. This way it dispersed the strain over the front more. I use mine to pull my car onto my trailer and it doesn't have any issues. I would be a bit more concerned with the small plate they supply. You can always buy some inexpensive aluminum angle to use on the inside over a larger area.

As i said I made mine so not as pretty but it is a track car.

Dear Anthony, thank you for your helpful comment. I looked at your photos and it seems that you simply drilled from inside through the tub? So it should be possible to do without disassembling the front bumper? Do you remeber what kind of drill you used and how difficult it was to get through the tub? Did you use any kind of insulation as well? Cheers!

The tub is really thin, you drill it in 2 sec with a regular drill! Use a knife or a pair of nippers to cut away some of the plastic grill. Then you can just wiggle the hook in place from the outside and bolt it from the rear side with sutiable brackets and washers. Very easy!
