Multiple dash warning light
Hi
I recently run into an issue with multiple warning light lit on the car.
With no warning beeps driving problem, it disappears after a restart.
Sometimes it disappears itself.
Battery voltage was above 13.2v (lithium battery) with high output Alternator installed few months back.
This happened after car in the garage for valve cover gasket replacement job and power steering to manual rack conversion as well exhaust replacement from heat exchanger.
All the spark plug wires at the bottom were and upper no6 near the power steering pump removed and refit.
Plug wires were replaced two years ago with around 5000km on it.
Could it be the issue of Central Indicator Computer Control Module 96464133000 that cause the problem?
What does this Central Indicator Computer Control Module do?
Seems very little information on the internet about it.
Thanks

Common issue, normally called "Christmas tree Effect". Search and you will find many threads on this topic.
The cause is high voltage spikes from the ignition wiring due to failing rubber insulation on the wires between the coils and the distributors. The arcs cause electric interference, causing the Central Informer Unit microprocessor to hiccup.

Thanks Tore,
The wires were replaced less than 5000kms ago in 2021.
Never had it before we removed some wires for valve cover gasket and power steering pump removal job.
Is there any need that I can add wires retainer or apply some dieletric grease to help insulation?
Thanks

The high voltage arc issue is my best guess from a distance. I do not recommend to use grease to try to mend badly installed or faulty high voltage wires.

Check on the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir. Make sure it is topped up to the limit. Ask me how I know!

Try spaying a mist of water over the HT wires in a darkened garage to diagnose where the arcing is occurring. I had this same issue and new leads but found arching tracks had developed out of the HT from one coil.

Yeah you really want to start with ignition arcs, could be a loose or bad wire. Be deliberate about it, check both coils/all wires, distributor, remove caps and check the caps/coils for arching damage, etc. This is pretty common.

I was shocked once by those arcs. Ouch that hurts be careful.

Thanks every one, I just ordered a set of 993 coil to see if that help the issue.
I looked back the record I can see my leads were replaced with BERU ones back in August 2021with 8000km on the odometer.
Not really sure wether the wires will going bad so fast?
Is there any thing to retainer that I can add to avoid the loosen wire?
I have check around the internet, seems no upgraded leads is available in the market.
And one really makes me curious that why these wires from BERU are so expensive compare to other cars?
This makes me thinking to go for the option of COP. I reckon it will be an upgrade, less issue over the time and cost effective to replace in the future?
Thanks
