I had to design a system to fit to the speedster cover. It still needs a little work as I used rod ends on 2 of the lift rods. this allows too much movement in the cover. I used 4 rods (legs) 2 long in the front and 2 short in the back. All legs attach on the rear upper shelf. Rear legs attach where the Cab top bolted down. Rear legs (when open ) fit in 2 stop blocks that hold speedster bubble open. Need to go to a solid attachment fitting over the rod ends as they allow too much sway. Will post picture’s shortly that will explain more.
Ok / here are pictures of support rods I built for speedster bubble cover. The longer rods have some length adjustment in the middle. The short back rods are adjust for length at the rod ends. This is the back stop I made to hold the cover open and to keep it from going too far back and hitting engine cover. Here you can see center adjustment that allows long rods to be change to ensure cover fits properly.
Can you explain the cutouts behind the rear wheels? Interested to learn if there’s a functional component there. I can very much appreciate the time and work that went into this.
The functional effect is trashing the paint of the car that's following you.
