Default My first air-cooled Porsche incoming from the Motherland

Just finalized the purchase on my 1990 Murano green 964. I thought the color was absolutely stunning and had to have it . Has just over 100k miles and has a equally beautiful mahogany interior. The dealer I purchased it from is doing a complete once over on the mechanicals ie. valve adjustment, valve covers, oil change , new struts, spark plugs. etc. Hope to have it state side in the next 2 months. I have had several Porsches to this point but this will be my first air-cooled experience.

Stunning color! If you have more picture would love to see more.

Congratulations and enjoy it.

Svensk who is missing his 964 (stayed in Europe as too much hassle to take it to CA)

The process is pretty straight forward. Definitely has it's challenges and pitfalls but I have won more than I have lost up to this point. The right contacts are the hardest to obtain. I just enjoy the hunt of something that you never find here in in the states.

There are no definitely some great colors stateside it just seems to me most the ones I see on a regular basis are very just your typical shades of red , black, silver, grey , blue etc. I find the euro cars offer alot of choices if you like the non metallic's . I also have a 1982 944 in Mauritius blue that is a non metallic that I absolutely love with pasha interior.

Wow, so awesome. At some point I may have to pick your brain about the process.

@forbiddenbeat - beware of the specificities of CA... not impossible, just an additional $10K to pass CA CARB tests and get it registered.

Svensk.
