Default Tachometer Stopped Working

My turn signal indicators still work/illuminate. Anything I can check before I pull it out and send it off to see if it can be fixed?

Thanks!

Of course it can be fixed. However, I would check that it gets power supply before proceeding with any repairs.
Working turn signals/high beam bulbs only proves that the GND connection to the instrument is OK.
Is this a tachometer with the OBC option or not?
Cheers,
Tore

Non-OBC tachos have pin numbers and function printed at the back. Check for ignition switched 12V at Terminal 15, pin 7. GND is pin 2.

I’m having a similar issue on my 1990 C2. The tach is completely dead and stuck at zero - my power windows and power mirrors and windshield wipers also died at the same time. My seats radio lights and signals work. Not sure where to begin, but I think I’m chasing a bad ground somewhere. Wiring diagrams could help me out.

Start with checing the fuses. Then, read post #4 in this thread.

In my opinion, "Check grounds" is the most common time-consuming and misleading fault finding tip on these modern cars.

Tore
