Air temperature from heat exchangers?
The heated air coming from the heat exchangers is scalding hot. I have even seen melted plastic parts in the foot wells when there's an air leak around the cardboard hoses.
However, I have never bothered to measure the temperature of the air coming out of the heat exchangers. Has anyone done so?
I would guess 100° to 150° Celsius, (200-300°F) maybe even above that.
Cheers,
Tore

Yes.. I recently have been curious as well. It gets very hot even in the rear wheel well area.....especially here in the summer......you can hear the exhaust crackling and tingling a bit until it cools down....The fenders would get pretty hot as well for me. Especially on the driver side....
I want to actually go out and get a infared gun to see what the temps actually are..

The exhaust parts are way hotter than the air that comes out of the heat exchangers. I am only interested in the air temperature that is fed to the HVAC unit.
