Default Seat Belt Buckle Bolt Torque

Due to a recent cleaning accident involving my passenger side cloth sport seat and an errant carpet beater I've been forced to replace the seat belt receptor 964.803.00.70B - $40.96USD. There is one bolt (see #16 in my hand-drawn sketch) that attaches the receptor/buckle to the seat so before I re-install the seat I would like to make sure the bolt is tightened correctly. If anyone has the torque value for the bolt could they please post it?

Thanks!

I just tighten that sucker as tight as it will go. Anything wrong with that.

One grunt should do it...I would imagine you'll go bonkers trying to find that value, not sure.

I will probably end up torqueing the bolt to one grunt. I'm going to try calling Porsche first; the bolt retails for $24 so there is something special going on here. Even for Porsche standards that is expensive.

Great, thanks Jason. Is that somewhere in the factory service manual and I just missed it?

My understanding is that the bolts are critical safety fixings capable of withstanding high energy impacts. You could not want to use a standard steel bolt (thread type aside). These are high tensile and high shear strength fixings. The thread I was told is "7/16-20 UNF pitch thread for all cars on planet Earth".

Seat rail hex/cheese head set screws also high strength, high tensile fixings.

This UK bolt supplier states that most seat belt bolts are indeed 7/16" fine thread but they also mention a rare 11 mm fine thread only available from the dealer.
I am now curious. Jason, if you have not yet installed the bolt can you confirm which one Porsche uses?

This post was from 17 years ago... I know somewhere along the line I posted photos of the bolts but I can't find them on here.
