Window Holder Rotted Out
Hi All
I attempted to open the window and it stopped half way down. After removing the door pannel I discovered the "U" shaped channel the bottom of the glass goes into had rusted out and no longer had the strength to created a good friction fit to capture the glass and the rubber the glass slides into. Anyone experience this? I'm going to find a metal channel with the same dimensions and replace it rather than replace the whole mechanism - big $'s.

FYI
I couldn't find a replacement track - so in the meantime I just siliconed the rubber and the glass to the track. The track has enough strength longitudinally but not enough to grab the rubber seal and glass so that when the window came down it lost its' grip and pulled out of the track.
