New process gold plated carbon fiber heat shields to reflect heat and protect the cf.

By the way, the transmission output flanges are seen in the background are wire EDM'd 300M ti-nitrided for protection.

Geez! The million-dollar-964!!! Sweet!!!

Thanks for sharing your very cool parts with us. If you have any parts you made that you don't like (maybe a silver plated version you didn't like) just send them to me!!! I will probably like them!

PS that's a tiptronic tranny, right?

Robert - every time you post I'm blown away by how absolutely fantastic your 964 looks.

I have a question - the 'normal' engine parts look amazingly clean - how have these been prepared?

Valve covers are plastic.

The transmission is a version of the Tiptronic.

One of the reasons that the metal looks clean is that much of it is titanium.

Robert,

I have seen numerous pictures of the component parts of your 964 but I have never seen a picture of the car as a whole. Do you have one you'd like to share with us?

The car will finally be assembled the week of September 6 and during the week of September 20 a group of engineers are scheduled to review it. Thereafter, I would be pleased to post pictures.

Robert - the items with 964 part numbers that I can see - are they titanium or original aluminium items that are clean?

Castings would be aluminum, fasteners are titanium.
