Question name this part and its purpose: 964.624.010.02

This thing is mounted on the back side of the shield behind the gas tank - it is attached to a huge heat sink. Is it part of the fog lamp wiring perhaps?

Any info is appreciated!!!

A search of Pelican Parts says it is a "BLOWER REGULATOR" but does not say what it does. PET calls is a "regulator - final stage" but, again, no hint as to function....

What do I win??

You are certainly quick!!! Thanks - I had actually forgotten I could plug in part numbers at Pelican!

If you come over I'd treat you to a beer or two, or three...

I wonder if it's the oil cooler, or rear blower... or A/C blowers more likely...

It is a resistor block to control the heater A/C fan speed.

Darn - I guess I'll have to share some of my beer winnings with Cupcar as I only got 1/2 the answer.

The California Boardwalk is closer to La Jolla than Canada. Where do we meet?

Actually it is a lot more than a resistor block.
This is the left and right blower fans driver control/regulator/final stage amplifier.
It contains the 4-speed control including 3-speed 0 setting, a temperature sensing system for blower protection and a timing system for the fan operation and protection.
Very reliable.
Ciao,
Adrian.
