Which brake accumulator, the uncoated or the gel coated, should be put into Humpty Dumpty. Weight difference is about 20 grams.

That is pretty sweet, as usual Robert! I think the shiny one looks nicer, and more finished. And you have one finished car!

I'll take whichever one you don't end up using!!! Drop me a line!

I'd have to say the gel coated, from a purely ascetic point of view of course. Is there any benefit to the gel coating? Any other differences between the two apart from weight?

This car AMAZES me!!

No difference between gel coated and not other than a modicum of protection which, given the accumulator's location in the trunk, should not be necessary.

First (coated?) one looks more refined - just like the rest of this amazing car!

I think the uncoated one has a better, more industrial look to it...

Coated, it has the more finished look, which is what the car is after all.

None of the other car parts look this agricultural (forgive the honesty) all the other parts have a look and purpose, the second pic looks asthetically like you haven't finished the work, as we'd say half a job. That just doesn't fit with your ethos and the rest of the car.

If the whole project is one of weight saving and pushing technology to the limit, then aesthetics should play a secondary role....I say uncoated if there is no functional gain from having the gel coating.
