Both -- depending upon a variety of factors such as customer location, labor content, machining cost, etc., parts might be made in one of several locations around the world.

Hi Bob, good to see you back posting here. Did you also develop the fan frame in CF which I believe is steel in stock form?

Fan frame is actually plastic but that is also is being done in carbon. Additionally, a lightweight motor with a magnesium mounting has been developed.

I got to tell you... some day Robert, you need to make something we can proudly install in our cars... even if it is a piece of scrap Carbon Fiber with your logo and double-faced tape.
Thank you, as always, for sharing the amazing parts your company makes!!

The fan blades do not appear evenly spaced. Is that by design?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Seems like with all the trouble to design and set up molds or whatever "tool up" there is, you should bang out at least 10 parts of each thing, then let us mere mortals snap them up. I saw, what was it, 10 or 20 rennlisters buy aluminum valve covers at $300 a pair in a matter of 2 weeks (raw materials for those is maybe $30 tops cut and ready to machine), so I don't think you'd have any problem moving them at a price that would at least defray some of your R&D costs.
I know, there's probably an excellent reason for not doing this - I'm just doing my part to pander for the goods on behalf "joe flat-six". Quote:

As ever an outstanding job Robert.
Good that you can't see it rotating though, it might make you rather dizzy with the pattern in the CF... Kevin |

Being lighter, does it make our cars more responsive?
