Just found this thread.
I am lucky enough to have driven to a display (if only 2-3kms, slowly, very slowly) one of only 2 right-hand drive, road versions of the 964 3.8 RSR. It was an unbelievable experience. Here a pic of the car at a display...

1 owner, broker claims serviced from new with records, never registered,
less than 100km as documented by gov't inspections....VIN will verify heritage - so unlikely broker will give further info to phone in ( if you are interested can try)... would think serious big green!

As has been pointed out in a number of previous posts, the 3.8RSR's could be ordered to suit your plans with the car - Le Mans endurance spec, GT racing etc. The car shown in this picture is indeed a 3.8 RSR, note that it doesn't have air jacks fitted and it also has had some none RSR front wings fitted with spats added to allow it to run to to ADAC regulation front track width.
3.8 RSR's left the factory with aluminum doors and bonnet (hood). The engine lid and spoiler is constructed from reinforced glass fibre - I don't know if there is any variance between the 3.8 RS and 3.8 RSR engine lid in terms of construction as I have never had a chance to look but I would suspect so. The singular factory RHD 3.8 RSR lives in Australia and uniquely left the factory with power steering as per all other 964 RHD 3.6 / 3.8 RS.
There is some footage of this car buzzing round some circuit in Europe somewhere. I'll try to dig it out. In the meantime, for a true RSR experience on a circuit where the RSR took the honors in 1993, have a look at this courtesy of Phil Schyns who was previously the custodian of the Maxcom sponsored RSR.....

I had posted copies of the factory spec sheets in some thread here. I can see if I can find it again. They make no comment about there being a difference in rear lids IIRC however the factory was known for supplying different markets with different products using the same name.

OzCarrera3 - I used to crew for this car when it raced in Porsche Cup events back in the late 90s. It is a beautiful car and I'm glad to see that it is still looks great. Can I assume the car is now based in Brisbane?
