Update: I wanted to let you all know that Ricardo and I have finalized the design and the production planning. I have a website all ready to go to accept orders, and we will be posting this site live in mid August to take orders on the Scantool. This date is due to some work issues, and time out of the country... we need to schedule some time to build the kits and fulfill orders.

We're almost there! Stay tuned... I will release the ordering information on this thread as well as on a new one on the 964 board.

Thanks

If you need help or sources for building smaller run pcb boards just let me know, we deal with this in both the US and Asia. If you have a board design I could possibly see if our asian manufacturer would do a short run (100 or so) and they could size it so it will go right into a Bud box... I have some experience with this obviously but mostly in just putting it all together, I am far from an electronics person but can help except the fact I'll be out of the country for 3 weeks starting this weekend.

I don't have data on that. Conceivably if it is using the same plug, and it has Motronic, it should work, but some of the functions may be different, thus inaccessible to the software.

We're only really building the interface, the software really controls what functions it can access....

Guys,

Assembled boards just shipped and then the next piece is the connectors which are about a week behind. Then it a lot of work to populate the pins on all those connectors and put that cable assembly together. So we are a few weeks away still.

993 always had that immobilizer issue and so 993 will not be supported in this initial re-run. I have all the bits and pieces to make 993 units but if it doesn't work or I can't tell someone how to make it work consistently the its not right to offer that.

Anyway it will be good to be offering these up again and Tom's new website will allow us to collect the information from Rennlisters on using the software and diagnosing troublecodes.

And I finally got the right wheels on my car!

Yes! Assembled boards have arrived. Just waiting on connectors for the cable assembly and then Tom takes over assembly from there. Connectors are being machine now.

All the best,
Ricardo

About three years. No changes at all. Just trying to take care of everyone who wants one. Also, Tom Bennett is helping me with orders and assembly so we can keep doing small runs as required. It was just too much for me last time that I couldn't justify doing it again. With Tom's help it takes care of my issues.

Cool- I just used my V1.o the other day.. the thing rocks.. well, it's just about impossible to get running on a mac because of the port issues, so I had a friend give me his ex-GF's PC laptop and I got it running on that.. its the only thing that the laptop runs.. kind of a dedicated server for the 993.. hahahha.. I could only imagine having it run on an iPhone.. that would be my dream.. put a bluetooth chip on the board, write a small app, waste another 2 years of frustration and time and sell a few hundred at best.. well.. I'll stick with that crappy PC laptop i guess..

Next issue Ricardo, take on that spoiler control box here:
