Anyone know a good source for a manual steering rack - new or used??

I have my spare old one still .. they are hard to find ... Good luck with your search .. I heard that they are still available from Porsche though expensive

I love mine, totally makes the car in my view. I hate the powersteering personally

Try these guys. They often have parts that are hard to find. This is where I found my man.rack when they were out of stock at Porsche a couple of years ago.

My understanding is that Porsche's stock of manual steering racks for the 964 and 993 series is almost depleted and they are not making any new ones. That's why they are so hard to find. I've seen them for sale in the classifieds here and on Pelican every once in a while, just be patient and you'll find one.

Yeah... but without the vinyl decals.

Edit -- Oops! -- Correction: I'm reminded they DID all come with decals in the engine bay.

Geez, why would anybody pay MORE for less stuff. We all need that heavy sunroof & crappy power steering. I mean, these cars have SO much weight over the front wheels

PS: I love my manual steering, too. Definitely a worthwhile conversion
