Default The Wikipedia entry for the 964? Errors? Inclusive?

The Wikipedia entry for the 964 seems pretty good. But there must be experts on this forum who could add/correct/revise/expand the entry if needed, since there is A LOT of expertise hanging around here.

What is the general opinion of this entry?

On a quick read through the only glaring error I noted was relating to the America Roadster. It states that the brakes and suspension of the AR were "Jubilee" specification, which is not true. The 1992/3 AR (and WTL Cabriolet for RoW) had Turbo brakes and suspension, unlike the 1993 Jubilee/Celebration cars which had standard brakes and suspension (albeit with some small changes for the wide body).

I did an edit on the Wikipedia entry some time ago relating to the Turbo entry. It originally had a very confused, merged description of the Turbo S and the Turbo 3.6S and I attempted to straighten that out.

I find the problem with Wikis such as this is that over time it becomes a jumbled mess of everybody's misunderstandings. To ever get to a truthful narrative would seem impossible as there will always be somebody who THINKS they are right and will modify a correct entry to make it wrong.

I noticed that "Engine Oil" says 20L, oil change 9L. Must be a misprint.

What the heck does " It is generally advised to run the engine past 4500 rpm[1]. Consistently running the engine below 3000 rpm may harm it.[1] " mean?

Can someone put this in context? does it mean occasionally make sure you exceed 4500 or habitually travel at excess revs?

Anyone got the book that is referenced to shed light on this strange comment? (^ a b c Leffingwell, Randy (2002). Porsche 911 Buyer's Guide. MotorBooks/MBI Publishing Company. pp. 188. ISBN 9780760309476. http://books.google.com/books?id=4-ByjhODBukC&pg=PA188. )

Yup! I gots dat book.

Mr. Randy is most definitely a "glass is half empty'-type realist. He points out some of the damnedest stuff as potential failure points to the 964 design.
That being said, I recommend the book, heartily. You won't be disappointed.

I hope that those who really know take the trouble to make the corrections so that the entry is strong and clear.
