well - finally bit the bullet! New Member of the club
I finally bit the bullet and joined the club. i have been lingering on your page for two years picking your brains. The right car (or so it seems) came around in my area and I bit. Thanks for all the help from folks on my running costs questions (especially Guards964). Here are few picks from my first day behind the wheel. Now, if I could just figure out how to read the oil levels........
1994 C2 with 72K miles
Amazon Green / Tan
Not perfect, but very nice.

Thanks Guys.
For the PPI I took it to Wurster's - it came back with nearly nothing wrong. Iam not 100% sure how much detail they paid attention to, but it did have a 3-5% per cyl compression test result.
The trace is on the list soon - I went through Percy Warner yesterday but it is raining today - oh well.

Congratulations. The car looks great. What are your plans with the car? Street driving, drivers ed, concours?
Do you have any mods planned? If not, we'd be happy to suggest some. We like spending other people's money.

Brentflyfish,
Looks like you found a great one. I love that color! So this is what a $15k car looks like in today's market? I seriously need to buy another car! So, so much car for the money!
What % window tinting does it have?
Enjoy it on those great roads you have out there!
Best,
Udo

Congrats! Beautiful example.
Read the owners manual for the oil gauges and the 50 other nonintuative features lol.
You can also watch the members only video. (hope it is the correct link, I cannot tell at work):

BTW Do you have 4 right side wheels?
Fuel Level and Oil Level
Oil Temp and Oil Pressure

If you have your motor hot and the car standing still on level ground
and you see any movement of the oil level gauge needle ,
you have 11-12 quarts of oil in your motor .
The float in the oil tank only measures the top quart of oil .
Your "Amazon Green" looks very blue ?

So - for a follow-up.
1. This will be a daily driver and no mods other than probably a G-pipe in the works.
2. I wish this was only $15K - paid a bit more due to being a 1994 with lower miles
3. Had not noticed the wheels, but the pics do look like 4 right side wheels........thanks a lot for putting that in my mind! (add to mod list.....)
4. I suspect the oil is a little low so I am adding a half quart at a time (the guage for level has not moved out of the red yet - even when it appears I am at normal temp and on level ground)
Can't wait to clock some miles on it!

Be careful adding oil using the gauge until you know how it compares with the dipstick. I would use the dipstick to measure the oil level. Once you have it where you want (1/2 between marks), then make a mental note of where the gauge is reading. I would hate for you to overfill you engine because the oil tank float or gauge were off calibration.
Once you know your engine and how the gauges read, then using the gauges is safe. Personally, I watch the gauge when driving the car and normal daily operation but I use the dipstick when adding oil. The 964 does not like to be overfilled.

yup - that is the plan. I am not seeing any on the dip stick but I have also been told it take awhile to learn to read the dip stick so I am adding only a little at a time.
