Default "Dealer Optioned" RS America - Tip?

I bid on this early - even though I thought it was a fake.

But, the auction ended and eBay reports a sale at $165K??

http://motors.completed.shop.ebay.co...item414a76116a

When you scroll down, the same car failed to sell after a best offer of $24,500

(I dont see any reference to this car on rsamerica.net)

This car has been for sale for months on autotrader and ebay. Who knows if it really sold for that much.

We've had several threads on this car over the last year. Hilarious!

That price looks a tad optimistic.

$24.5k is a bit steep for a regular C2 with some RS bits added to it.

I pulled the car fax.

This car has over 100K on the clock and has a mileage discrepancy.

Self bid it up just for attention. I will probably be relisted in a few days again...

At $45.00 a pop per ad ebay is loving this guy...

Not anymore. It costs $1 to list now. And you pay a single $125 fee if the auction ends successfully. I'd say it's a really cheap way to advertise your car worldwide, since rarely are deals made through Ebay.

I sent this guy a polite email telling him there was no dealer installed RSA package and all he had was a plain old C2 tip with a spoiler and new door panels. What I got in return was 2 days of really nasty emails telling me it has RS right in the VIN number to prove it and how I cant afford this or that. I asked him how a dealer could change the vin number to include RS after the car was built and I got m ore nasty emails.

I think he's confused. His VIN code on eBay: WP0AB2961RS420207

RS in the middle of his VIN number (character 10 and character 11) refers to:

Character 10: R - Year of build 1994
Character 11: S - Factory code for Stuttgart

A euro RS has NS - 1992/Stuttgart. RSAs have PS - 1993/Stuttgart.

Let's see, it's a tip, it has 165,000 miles on the clock, and it's a C2 with chrome Cup II's. $15K max. Blatant false advertising.
