Default classic leman

Chaps,

Just got back, some nice photo's, and my mate Paul with the c2 cup car will be happy he got another celebrity shot taken of his car(blue c2 cup factory racer)
UK rennlisters I can recommend travel destinations as good place to book your trip through,we have been to two regular and two classics with them and the camping and toilets and showers etc have been spot on.
if you were on the campsite we had the cup car the 2.2t the 2.8rsr a 993 and my little 964 targa.
Next lads holiday is the old timers at the ring next year though, so lets hope the father land has as many rare porscher as the classic as the 935's and the rsr's were totally awesome the ground was shaking with porker power.

Thanks for that black 935-78 shot, my new desktop.

Some 935's sent out some flames for nearly 2 seconds at the top right of the start/finish straight but the most impressive weekend performance had to be the 1977 936 in the same grid 6 leaving everything else for dead (or that Black GT40 in grid 4). Thank Guiness I had something to put in my ears for those big V8 cobras/bizarinnis.

Has anyone been to the "non-classic" Le Mans? Id prefer the Classic, but June 2011 is alot closer than waiting till 2012?

Default classic only

Modern leman

Diesels lots of brand image creating ie a Audi and a Bentley both winning for years with a team of Porsche engineers and a Porsche team manager
Norbert singer, we all knew it was about marketing as Porsche's profile was high.
I think if your above 30years old the modern lemans is boring the classic has all my boy hood dream cars on display the sound smell and flames of the Porsche turbo cars has to be seen just awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Norm,
Friday evening on my landline always in 6-8pm unless were showing stationery engines then mobile.
I have been away four weekends on the trot this weekend I am at home but Sunday at a classic car show in the lakes, sunny will =Turbo, rain will be c4.

Gaz,

Don't forget though that the Le Mans 24hr has the Carrera cup racing, and group C racing events, so its not all corportate, although in some aspects the people are a bit asinine in behaviour.

Great photos by the way. Really sum up the event. Only thing missing was a C4 Lightweight! Did you check out my website?

Best regards

Martin, great to convoy with you and Jeff down to Le Mans Classic this year. Nice lunch with a good crowd - and that 2nd gear, 6,500rpm downhill run through the tunnel into Rouen gave me goosebumps.

See you back there in 2 years.
And of course, see you at the next RS gathering here in UK.
