Having tried a number of Porsches (75 914, 01 Boxster, 86 911, even learned to drive stick in an 84 944!), my 91 C4 beats them all in terms of pure "feel". The Boxster is much too refined and more of a touring car, where the 964 is more of a driver's car with race car looks/feel, but enough modern convenience to not miss out on much. (although I do miss remote lock/unlock, guess I gotta project on my hands...)

If I did get a 5th Porsche, it might be a Cayenne, only for the utility purpose of hauling around the kids...

The 964 is the classic interation of the original 911 in my view. It also handles so well but not too like a new car does. It requires driver input, still you guys know this!
Last weekend I was at Nurburgring and Spa where the car got a lot of admiring comments from guys with the latest GT3 and GTR RS's, in a day where the convoy moved from the Ring to Spa for a track day the 964 kept up with the newer cars for 8-9 / 10ths of the trip.
It was one of the most memorable road trips I have done to date.
Oh and this was a track biased N-GT 964RS which I drove 1200 miles over 5 days. The 964 is an epic car!
I also have a road 964 as well!

Guys,

So in the end, could not sell the white but managed to get another one. So I did it, just got myself another 964. A manual C2 91:B Earlier owner Porsche enthusiast into the bones... so all set now. The classic setup. White and red No plans on doing anything with the red keeping it original.

Sorry 'bout that I think the next move will be an aluminum trailer. The color scheme on your white car is similar to my white one, except I went with red for the script and the wheels. Your red car looks like a US version.

I like your thinking and congrats on the new car. Is it still in the States?

I think my car is at the limit of being an acceptable “family” car. (engine sound pad removed, Wevo MM., primary bypass, drilled air box). Next mod will be upgraded suspension, and I think I’ll keep is simple and go with Bils/HR Greens as that will be a massive upgrade from my stock suspension. I’ve held back on getting a cat bypass because of the smell. My kids have grown up with this car so they don’t know anything different, and they love it…but if the car becomes too harsh they could turn on me and then I’ll be out numbered.

Now you need a black one

Perfect garage?

964RS 3.8 for the living room, 964 Anniversary for the track (if you can't afford another RS) , and 964 Tip as a daily.

I have the last one, so gotta work on the 1st 2

Frank and Jetta, You are correct. It is a California Car, has been there since it left the shipping in 1991 so NO rust, and color in great shape. I noticed Your color scheme, actually there is a C2 with that same specs here in Sweden. Looks great but figured I go the other way not beeing copycat. Anyhow, might change back to cup 17:s....

Felix - Congrats - my RSA is a California car as well and it is amazing how well they are preserved. I just like the "73 RS look". Keep the wheels - they look great! You might also want to look at the "Cup Endrohr" at AP Car Design.
