One more thing. Check the ZF part number on your rack before you call them. I was told that there are different versions depending on model year etc.

And yes Indycam, it may not work in the US, but it is still true!

My car is on the lift at the moment... let me check if I can find the ZF part number. In my vm to ZF I gave them the number Indycam provided.

you guys are too effing expensive to hang with. Every time I read the board someone has a new repair. I'll be lyucky enough to pull my motor over the winter, do valves and check for leaks, let along repair racks. if I'm not careful, the steering rack is the only rack I'll be seeing for a long time.

Sounds like a good theme for the next wrenching GTG with the central Florida crowd. You can do mine at the same time
Maybe Jim at Porsche of Orlando will give us a group rate on alignments

Supposedly the 993 is a little quicker lock to lock. Externally there were some differences, but the lines from the car lined up right, and it bled easily and worked perfectly. I would have put a 964 rack in it, but the 993 was such a deal I could not pass it up.
