What do you think of this car??
I havent looked at it yet
I know the history is bad, the guy bought it at an estate auction.
I can work on anything that comes up myself and want it as a driver.
Any opinions or things to look for would be appreciated.
Thanks

Cosmetically looks ok, however always get a PPI before you purchase so you know exactly what you're getting into. Atleast then you'll know what all the issues are. In addition, future resale value will be tarnished by the fire damage so keep that in mind aswell.

I would probably run.
Vague info too much unknown history, fire damage, unknown mileage, pictures taken from over 10 feet with a long lens. You might find it costs you $20k to make it right. Worth having a PPI done but I wouldn't expect much.

A fire-sale price... because it's been on fire!
The whats and the wheres of that fire's impact on steel temper, plastics, rubbers ["heh - he said 'rubbers'!"] would mark this one as potentially a never-ending source of niggling - or worse - problems just waiting to leave you at the side of the road.

Run, Forrest, run!

It's the 914/924/944/928 of 964s at sub-$10K. Who'd want to make it "right"? If that's all you're expecting out of a 911, keep it running for as long as you can, by whatever means necessary, and all will probably be fine. There isn't a secret handshake to understanding these things............
Now, if you can only afford $10K, and think this is an entry to (somewhat) late model 911 ownership, probably not the best move.

Finding a PPI in NC is tough, I just thought it might be interesting to look at, its only an hour away.
I'm just looking for a driver to play with till the used Caymans come down in price a bit.
Thanks for all the info.
