Front PU isnt connected to the reinforcing bar so you can remove it
Rear one is a supprt for the PU so removing it isnt really an option (without lots of bracket work)

This is what I have done on my RSA. The front and rear reinforcement bar material that I removed did not amount to a great deal of weight savings. Although the impact absorbers did. photos 1 of 3

Photo 3 of 3 was to large to post. Newbie move...sorry. It just showed the wrinkle black finish that was applied to the aluminum impact absorbers. Looked really nice. No one will ever see it...mostly a corrosion protection measure.

No, I still have both my crash bars in place. I'd prefer more weight of the back than even more of the front. And the rear one is a also nice "last defence line" to have for the engine. But I've seen drilled ones on some german cars. The LW bumper supports are nice but a bit $$$. I actually don't know the weight of the crash bar but maybe around 5 Kg. The supports are maybe 1 kg lighter per pair. FVD also have a set of crash bars in carbon fiber, really nice but even more $$$.
