The original owner was Bob White from Illinois. He is a professor emeritas at the University of Illinois and an industrial and mechanical engineer who has consulted with Porsche in Weissach for 30 years. He sold the car 2.5 years ago to a gentleman in Birmingham who put fewer than 5,000 miles on it and is now selling it. We have spoken to both gentlemen and to Ryland Mills's shop in Atlanta who worked on it. All have taken extraordinary care of this special car. I intend to do the same.

I spent a few years in PCA in Illinois with Bob. Your car and his personal stories with Porsche and RUF helped fuel my obsession with these great cars. Cars and Coffee on Saturday mornings were a 2 hour trip away from the cornfields of IL to Germany and back. Enjoy your time as the care taker of a piece of automotive history. Congratulations again.

I remember that Car and Driver article...and remember thinking that Is should become a professional so that I could have as nice a car. Was 22 at the time...
