Default RH 3.6 Versus Veloce 3.6 18 inch Wheels...

I've been looking at the RH 3.6 and the Veloce 3.6 wheels and they look different to me. I've attached the photos from which I'm comparing. The RH rim looks like there's more articulation, more shelves, if you will, and the Veloce rim looks cleaner with less shelves.

Is this an optical illusion from the way the pictures were taken or does the RH rim have more shelves?

Most importantly, which of these wheels is truer to the original Speedlines 3.6?

RH is truer. Veloce looks good too though.

I'm going to guess that the RH is lighter with the spun aluminum rim versus cast. That said...I'm curious myself.

Did a little googling...

RH 3.6 around 25 pounds.

Veloce 3.6 around 24.5 pounds.

I'm only quoting what I've found and haven't verified these numbers.

Doesn't look like the RH rims are busier?

RH has a set lip. Veloce spoke openings are more triangular while the RH ones are more rounded out.

RH is a true 3-piece wheel, with an outer lip, center, and inner carrel, and 40 bolts connecting them. It looks just about identical to the original 3.6 Speedline wheel. The Veloce/Keskin/etc. replicas are single piece wheels with various amounts (32, 36, or 40) of glued-on plastic bolts heads on the face. Now you are probably asking yourself how pathetic is that? The RH has a step lip, the others don't. The RH is not very light, but neither is the original Speedline, although the Speedline has a forged center, while the RH's is cast. The single piece replicas are all cast as one piece.

And all that is reflected in the cost. The RH wheels are $1100 a piece, while you can get a whole set of the other replicas for $1200-1500...

The center of the Speedline is cast too and the 18x10 has a wight of nearly 28 pounds, that are 2 pounds more than the RH ones have.
I am sure about that because I shipped many of them from Germany to the US, so it is necessary to know the wights.
The Keskin are the same wheels like AP Car Design sells. Absolutly soft and with deficient load capacity. There are many better ways to burn money as to buy Keskin bouncy *****.

Somewhere I heard RH might still polish the spokes? I love the way the wheels look all polished but wonder if it means I would be cleaning my wheels all the time.

Any thoughts on that?

It won't make any difference to how much you have to clean them.
