One thing to note is that I found my car bottomed out going through the fox hole and a couple of other places, the 'Ring has high speeds and with the undulations you get big compression.....even with my KWv3 set to max I still didn't have enough stiffness and suspension travel, so had to raise the ride height from RS height to stop this happening. Maybe it was just my car, but worth considering canvassing opinion of regulars!?

Bookatrack's first dates for Spa in 2012 are now on their site. It's the usual last weekend in March. Saturday 24th/Sunday 25th:

Are we up for it?

That should give me time to save up for new seats and harnesses!

are you referring to me Boxsey? haha....mate flew back into london yesterday morn and was just about to email Jonny to chase so thanks for the heads up.

Date sounds perfect for me so I am going to book this as well. Sounds like 4 of us total.

Boxsey - u keen for the Ring also for that weekend? what is your plan?

Provisional Plan - Spa and Nurburgring weekend

Day 1 Friday 23/03 - Meet at Channel Tunnel in morning and head to Spa - stay overnight at hotel near track
Day 2 Saturday 24/03 - Bookatrack trackday - stay overnight at same hotel
Day 3 Sunday 25/03 - Drive to Nurburgring in morning. Do some laps etc. stay overnight at hotel near Nurburgring
Day 4 Monday 26/03 - Head back to channel tunnel in morning and back to London

Open questions:
1a. Assumed above that we will do that Sat trackday. Is this what everyone is thinking?
1. is everyone keen on this itinerary? if not...can you suggest aalternatives
2. Is 4 days too long or can we do it in 3?
3. Does everyone/anyone want to do the ring as well still? another option is just to do Spa and that means its really just a 3 day weekend (might be better for some given its only one day off work)

To do:
1. Book the trackday for Sat (or Sunday - which ever day we agree as a group) through bookatrack - highest priority at this point
2. Agree the plan - 3 or 4 days? Spa only or include Nurburgring? etc
3. Book channel tunnel tickets return
4. Book accomodation at Spa and Nurburgring (The Ring if we agree thats part of the weekend)

Isn't it an option to be in Germany at the First of May?

That all sounds great, I think 4 days is perfect - cramming in my view just would not be enjoyable. And since we're out there The Ring seems like a no brainer imo.

If we're gonna do it - let's commit to the cause, do it whole hearted and do it right?

Frank - I am in for the 4 days as well. I agree that while we are down there it would be rude not too get to the ring and I dont want to rush it either. Be good to get a posse together for the full 4 days.

I will book the Sat slot at Spa in the next few days.

I'm up for the 4 day trip but will do both days at Spa. The 'ring is not my thing and I've already ticked that box but there's no harm in some of us staying at Spa and some going on to the 'ring, as people prefer. Looking forward to it and hopefully there will be more of us....I think it's Andrew, Grant, Frank and me at the moment?

Think it's time for a running list.... Also Tony today was saying that this may coincide with a 911 UK trip...
