Default RS door card information request

I've already done a search and there is plenty of good reading on here about the options for the RS door cards. So thank you Rennlisters

From what I've seen the Appbiz cards are highly rated for quality and value. What intrigues me in particular is the RSA deluxe version which has simple door pockets. Enough to stow a wallet, phone etc. Can anyone who's fitted these post a pic please?

I'm also interested to know about the description that all holes are cut out and you just have to cut the covering to fit those items you want to install. Does this mean that both speaker holes are ready cut in the fibre board? Also, do both cards have two rectangular holes for the electric window switches?

Steve,

As I'm on the West Coast, I just rang Bob@appbiz to find out for you. He's not available today, back in tomorrow.

If no one can answer your questions about pre-cut (or not) b'twixt now and then, I'll give him a bell in the morning.

Freedman's correct, Thomas has RS panels with pockets and 'lecky window lifters.

Thanks guys. Hopefully Thomas will see this and post a pic. I'm 99% certain I'll go for that option but it would just be nice to see a pic first

Geordie, thanks that it is very kind of you to speak to Bob. The main reason for my question about the hole cuts is to check if the cards can be used for RHD where the right card has the two window switches. Ideally, there are already two holes cut in the right door card but if I just need to cut an extra hole for the second switch, I'm sure I can deal with that.

Steve,

I just spoke with Bob@appbiz who said as long as you specify RHD door cards, he'll manufacture/supply to suit.

He said the speaker holes are pre-cut in the inner panel, but not the outer (leather or vinyl). I imagine most requests could be accomodated ....

Bob suggested you call him rather than ordering from his website as the automatically quoted overseas shipping prices are higher than actual.

Hope this helps -

Geordie, that's brilliant. Thank you for doing that

I'll do as both you and Bob suggest and contact him directly to avoid any website ordering errors.

Steve, I am waiting for my door cards to arrive any day now from Appbiz. I ordered the RS Plus cards (with pockets) in leather with cuts outs for speakers, etc. I will take photos when they arrive if you like but they have options for window switch positions to suit RHD drive. Can't wait to get them fitted!

Yeah, that's the one I have and I really like them. As said, the board is pre cut for everything/options but not the vinyl.

Just thought I would update this thread now that my RS door cards have arrived from Appbiz.

This one shows the reverse where you can see that all the holes that you need are pre-cut:

I just needed the holes for the main door speakers and the locking ***** cutting out:

Thanks to Bob at Appbiz for a great service and to Mrs B for doing the cutting and neat stapling of the vinyl:

Ah, is that how they come, you choose which holes you want and make your own arrangements?

So in theory you could use plastic fittings along the bottom instead of external screws.

Just a case of getting the hole sizes correct?
