Looks like a recipe for disaster in regards to overheating.
I'd much rather have the split spoiler from the 1997 993 Carrera S as shown below, reminiscent of one of the old 356s that had the splitty on the back. Very classy look, in my opinion.
Has anyone put one of these on their 964?

The Strosek website has similar ones that indicate that they are "pop-up". I think without it raising there would be serious issues with overheating, performance loss (due to hot air gathering around the intake) and instability at higher speeds...
It also looks strange to my eye ...

Just spotted ones brand new on German eBay and they do pop up...
I do like it, but I think most people would be put off! I think I'll stick with Plan A and go for the ducktail for next years shows to keep the car fresh.

Why overhrating, cause it doesn't pop up?? If you do city driving all day doesn't it mean you'll overheat..... I seriously doubt it. If you look closely this spoiler or cover as a lip and air is directed in the engine compartment just like all 996-997 cup cars, 996-997 GT2-3.

And who ran the aerodynamics calcs on this design? Looks like it provides a little lift instead of downforce. Made me think of the rice burners who put wings on the back of their front wheel drive cars.
