Default Part Question re: Spring Plates

Are the bushings available for the spring plates (#7) separately or must you purchase the entire part? I have only seen the expensive OEM and aftermarket options.

So far as I know the news on that question ain't good.

The sexy aftermarket ones are cheaper than the German-speaking variety.

Power_up- you had them made locally? From what? Where there any challenges that the shop related?

Thanks!

I am located in HK. So it is far away from your places. The english name of material I think is called Polyoxymethylene, but I am not too sure.

Very interesting- thank you for the reply! Polyoxymethylene is also known as Acetal and/or Delrin (in the 'States at least...) and can be a very good choice for bushings.

Quoting a BASF white paper: "Polyoxymethylene is an engineering thermoplastic used in applications that require outstanding performance. It provides excellent resistance to fuels and chemicals, low swelling, good long-term thermal stability and good electric insulation capacity."

Pelican Parts currently lists a price for part number 96433106010 as $947 U.S. Looks like that part includes the bushing. No current listing that I can find just for the bushing. Might be worth a phone call to someone at Pelican or other parts houses to see if this bushing is offered separately.

Looks like a great opportunity for the aftermarket to fill a need. I wonder why it hasn't been done yet by Poweflex or someone else.
