Reading between forums I guess thats Oldtimer?

Be interesting to hear his take on the differences between it and his RS

And isn't his RS coming to Spa with its new owner, as well?

Seems to be alot of 10k cars out there advertised for 15k plus considering work needed.

Buyers looking to buy be careful!

Congratulations! Looks tidy! Nice steering wheel, don't often see 'ruched leather' seats. What are your plans for it - enjoy as, any planned modifications?

PS. If your local, you should come to one our London 964 meets!

Just want to drive it really, plan to use it for 2-3k miles p/a from April till Oct.

In terms of mods I'm a bit reluctant to mess with such a nice car. I'm thinking of the rear caliper upgrade, some spacers, perhaps Eibachs and Koni's but thats it. I have an occaisional twinge in my back and dont want to lose anything in the ride quality dept. so until I've tried the Eibach / Koni setup its on ice.

Was going to go and visit RPM and take a look at the two they had in but having read that I may not bother. I have a budget of around £20k to pick up a reasonably sorted one and was leaning more towards the black one but £17k and a respray needed and a list of things to get sorted? Maybe not. Their advert says they've sorted a lot of the problems out. I take it this is not the case?

There is a load of tat around. I went to see a car described as excellent in Birmingham, what a waste of time that was, compared to mine it needed a full restoration.

I would get RPM to email you the inspection - they tell the real story. Mechanically its pretty solid, it does have an oil cooler leak, they estimate £1200 as a worst case scenario. Basically, don't take my word for it, get in touch with RPM & have a word. I'd also have a look at 911 Virgin, 20k will get you a very nice 964 IMHO

Cheers Wibbles. I'm going to have a look at them this week anyway to guage what sort of state they're in. They're only a short drive away. Was debating a full bare metal repair/respray as I was going to hang on to whatever I bought for a while and use it as a daily drive until I saw the costs of doing it!!

I have been looking at 911 virgin as well but no 964's at the moment. Also looking at the Paul Stephens Bespoke 911 based on the 964 in case I win the lottery soon

If I'm right 911Virgin only just had time to put the ad on their website before you bought it. It just goes to show you have to move fast when the right 964 comes up. Well done, it looks like a great example.
