my thermostat is open at 194F (prior to that i can see the temp drop and then climb back up to 194 .. and can also feel the warm front fender .. and thermostat has been checked by shop).

at 194F, the oil level is in red.

wait until temp hits 9 o'clock and the oil level goes from red to half-way.

either way ... we're probably only talking 0.5L difference in oil quantity which is probably fine either way.
