Stupid question. You have got the two bolts in the door shut loose?

There are no stupid questions lol But yes I have removed those bolts completely I have not cracked the weld thought. On one side its easy as I still have to fit the wing. the side with the wing on I am struggling I think I might need to run a long stanley blade down the gaps to make sure all remaining bits of rubber from previous seal have been removed. I can slip seal in some areas quite easy but the place where it bends is really hard ro push in I destroyed one new seal already. I will have to order another one for second attempt.

The first one got stuck half in half out and I had to pull it with pliers and it ripped luckily they are not that expensive.

Right thought I would try and close this thread out the car is 95% complete and back on the road completed a 300mile roundtrip at the weekend and never missed a beat (although had a slow puncture) as with a lot of "projects" we share on here I would like to thank everyone for their help and support along the way whether at the end of a phone or keyboard.

Have one or two jobs to finish felt seals on both doors, fit sill covers, fit tore B remote locking kit and carry out display mod on CR-22-sort the ride height out a bit

Carried out some little mods along the way nothing groundbreaking or original but I am delighted how it all turned out.

Fitted RS rear bumper
Colour coded side sills and rear bumper
Fitted/colour coded 993 dooe handles
Fitted rear roof spoiler
removed headlight washers from front bumper
Fitted RS brake ducts
Removed rear wiper
Removed side indicators from wings
Removed all of the A/C
Removed big washer bottle
Re-wired to intense washer bottle
Fitted a set of 18" Eta Beta Krones

It took a year to complete and now look forward to driving a bit before the weather starts to turn once again thanks for your interest and help

Gaz

Looking real nice :-)
Where did you get the RS centre section from? Oh, and the number plate lights for it too.

Rob,

the rear Rs section is from Cult -werks bought it on ebay.de £160 + postage quality and fit was excellent number plate lights are from type911 same as the ones that fit the rubber overriders in the 3.2 a bit cheaper than the ones on ebay advertised for 964 RS.

Cheers glad to help , bloody ironic thing was when I went to pick the car up Colin had forgot about filling the bumper however left it with him and all sorted , taxed the car from the start of September probably would have been better with 6 weeks rather than 6 months !

cheers
